We spent a lot of time planning routes and working out distances. Not
because there were lots of different ways to get anywhere, but because
camp sites were hard to pick using the map. Water courses on the map
might not exist, but then again there might be a fairly large body of
water there. The photos before were of an area like that - on the map
it was the headwaters of a river where it split into three
tributaries, but one of them was pretty sizable and the map didn't
show that.
